About Dairui
How long has Dairui been manufacturing curtains?
Dairui Textile was founded in 2014 in Shaoxing, China — the textile capital of China. We’ve been manufacturing curtains continuously for over a decade, with most of our team having 10+ years of industry experience.
What's your factory size and production capacity?
Our facility is 10,000 m² with annual production capacity of 500,000 pieces. We operate with 50+ employees across cutting, sewing, finishing, QC, and packaging departments.
What certifications do you hold?
We hold OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and BSCI compliance certification. NFPA 701 flame-retardant compliance is available for hospitality and project orders. All certifications are current and verifiable.
Where is your factory located?
Our facility is in Yuecheng District, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province, China — about 1.5 hours from Ningbo Port and 2 hours from Shanghai Port. Buyers visiting China are welcome to schedule a factory tour.
Who are your typical customers?
We serve four main buyer types: DTC brands selling on Shopify and Amazon, wholesale importers and distributors, interior designers and hospitality projects, and government/institutional buyers. 80% of our business is recurring partners on weekly or monthly reorder cycles.
Products & Customization
What types of curtains do you manufacture?
We manufacture four main curtain categories: blackout curtains (coated and physical), sheer curtains (voile and embroidered), linen curtains (natural and faux linen), and velvet curtains (soft-touch polyester velvet). Project curtains for hotels and institutions are also available.
What heading styles can you produce?
We produce all major curtain heading styles: Ripplefold (S-fold) with 6 cm or 8 cm glider spacing, Pinch Pleat (single, double, or triple pleat), Wave Top with 7.5 cm nylon tape, Pencil Pleat with three-cord drawtape, Grommet/Eyelet, Back Tab, and Tab Top. We can match any heading style on a buyer-supplied sample.
What blackout fabric options do you offer?
We produce all major blackout types: coated blackout (3-layer or 4-layer), composite blackout with TPU lamination, composite with inner coating, single-side TPU composite, and physical yarn-based blackout (the most premium, environmentally friendly option). Coating backings can be silicon or foam.
Do you offer flame-retardant treatment?
Yes. We provide flame-retardant treatment compliant with NFPA 701 (US standard, Test Method 1), BS 5867 (UK), and DIN 4102 (Germany/EU). Flame retardancy adds approximately 1-2 days to production lead time. Test reports for each batch are provided on request.
What is heat-setting and shape memory?
Industrial heat-setting locks pleat geometry, ripple shape, and dimensional stability into the fabric — creating a permanent memory shape that holds after washing and re-hanging. It’s particularly important for ripplefold, S-fold, and pinch pleat curtains where shape retention is the visual signature. We heat-set every applicable order before packaging.
MOQ & Order Structure
What's your standard MOQ?
Our MOQ depends on service type. For OEM/Private Label orders on in-stock fabrics, the standard is 200 pieces per style and per color. Trial orders of 50-100 pieces are available subject to discussion. Custom-woven fabrics require 800-1,000 meters minimum. For dropshipping, single-piece orders are accepted.
Do you accept trial orders for new buyers?
Yes. Trial orders of 50-100 pieces are available for first-time customers validating a fabric or design. Once the product proves out, you can scale to standard 200-piece reorders on the same fabric, then graduate to custom-woven fabric runs.
What's the minimum for custom-woven fabric?
800-1,000 meters minimum for custom-woven fabrics. This covers custom yarn dyeing, custom weaving patterns, and proprietary fabric development. Color matching to Pantone references is included.
Can I mix multiple SKUs in one order?
Yes. Mixed-SKU orders are common. Each style/color combination counts toward its own MOQ — for example, an order of 200 pieces each across 3 colors meets the standard MOQ for each color. We combine SKUs into one shipment to optimize freight cost.
Do you offer container-level wholesale?
Yes. Wholesale buyers can order at container level: a 20ft FCL holds approximately 6,000-8,000 pieces, a 40ft FCL holds 12,000-16,000 pieces, and a 40HQ high-cube holds 14,000-19,000 pieces. Loading varies by curtain type and packaging.
Production & Lead Time
How long does sample production take?
Sample lead time is 3-5 working days from confirmation of fabric and specifications, excluding international shipping. Express shipping (DHL, FedEx, UPS) typically delivers samples within 5-7 days globally.
How long is bulk production lead time?
Standard bulk production is 30+ days from deposit confirmation for in-stock fabrics. Custom-woven fabric orders add another 15-20 days for fabric production. Lead time can extend during peak season (August-October for Northern Hemisphere winter orders).
What's your on-time delivery rate?
98% on-time delivery in the past 12 months, measured against the deposit-confirmed ship date. Delays, when they occur, are typically caused by raw material disruption or last-minute spec changes from the buyer side.
Can you handle rush orders?
Limited rush capacity is available for existing partners on in-stock fabrics. Rush orders typically compress lead time to 20-25 days with a small expedite fee. Custom-woven fabrics cannot be rushed — fabric weaving sets the floor on timeline.
Do you provide pre-production photos before bulk?
Yes. After deposit confirmation, we send a pre-production photo sample for buyer approval before cutting bulk fabric. This prevents production-side mistakes from being discovered only at final QC.
Shipping & Logistics
Which ports do you ship from?
We ship from Ningbo Port and Shanghai Port. Ningbo is closer to our facility (1.5 hours) and is the default for cost-sensitive shipments. Shanghai is used for faster sailings to certain destinations or when consolidating with other Shanghai-area suppliers.
What incoterms do you offer?
FOB Ningbo or FOB Shanghai is our default. CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight) and DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) are available on request. For dropshipping orders, we ship DDP direct to end consumers in US, Canada, UK, EU, and Australia.
How are curtains packed for export?
Curtains are folded, bagged in moisture-barrier polybags, and boxed in tested-strength export cartons. Pleated curtains use paper rings to preserve memory shape. Each carton is labeled to buyer specification (carton dimensions, weight, SKU, your brand markings).
Do you offer DDP shipping for dropshipping?
Yes. Our dropshipping operation ships DDP direct to end consumers. Air-freight delivery is 7-10 days to US, Canada, UK, EU, and Australia. Tracking auto-syncs to your e-commerce platform. Other regions available on request with extended timing (typically 14-21 days).
What payment terms do you accept?
For OEM and Private Label orders, our standard is 30% T/T deposit + 70% before shipment. Other terms are confirmed during inquiry based on order volume, destination, and product specification. Currency: USD or EUR.
Sampling & Working Together
How do I request a curtain sample?
Send a sample request through our contact form, or message us on WhatsApp at +86 13456579329. Tell us your target fabric, color, size, and intended use. We respond within 12 business hours with sample timeline and any cost confirmation.
Are samples free?
A nominal sample fee applies to cover materials and production. The fee is typically credited back against your first bulk order when you proceed to production. For repeat partners, samples are often free.
Can you produce under my brand without Dairui markings?
Yes. For Private Label and Dropshipping services, all packaging, labels, hangtags, and inserts are fully branded to your specification. No Dairui logo, factory address, or Chinese-language markings appear on finished goods or shipping documents.
Do you sign NDAs and exclusivity agreements?
NDAs are routinely signed before sharing custom design files. Exclusivity agreements are case-by-case — we can agree not to produce identical custom designs for direct competitors in your region, but we don’t grant blanket category exclusivity.
How do I start working with Dairui?
Three steps: (1) Send us a brand brief with target fabric, construction, size, and order volume. (2) We ship a sample within 3-5 working days for your approval. (3) After sample sign-off, 30% T/T deposit confirms bulk production. Most new partners place a first order within 2-4 weeks of initial inquiry.
